Narrative:

Per previous dispatcher; flight departed and noticed rapid increase in brake temperature on right; outboard; main landing gear during takeoff. Gear was left extended during climb; temperature decreased to allow landing gear retraction. In collaboration with captain; and maintenance control; previous dispatcher agreed flight could continue to the destination; and declare emergency prior to arrival and request emergency equipment as a precautionary measure; in the event suspected brake malfunction continued. After shift turnover briefing and assumption of duties; briefing of TRACON was accomplished via ATC coordinator; and emergency was declared.

Title: One A320 main landing gear brake became heated during takeoff. The landing gear remained extended until the brake cooled. An emergency was declared at the destination in the event of a brake malfunction.
