At hold short we were called by operations on company frequency to return to gate as we were 'out of trim.' back at gate; agent told us we were over gross weight. On the load sheet; she used the planned weights for freight. After push she plugged the actual weights; putting us over allowable takeoff gross weight by 800 pounds. Agent said she felt rushed because the inbound flight was 30 minutes late; full passenger off and full passenger on; with pilot and flight attendant crew changes. She felt pressured to make the '20 minute turn' and used the planned cargo loading to save a couple of minutes

Title: A B737-300 was called back to the gate because an error in the weight and balance make the aircraft 800 LBS overweight for takeoff.

Narrative: At hold short we were called by Operations on company frequency to return to gate as we were 'out of trim.' Back at gate; Agent told us we were over gross weight. On the load sheet; she used the PLANNED weights for freight. After push she plugged the ACTUAL weights; putting us over allowable takeoff gross weight by 800 LBS.
