Narrative:
While boarding passenger our push back crew noted sparks coming from the area of the right a/C pack cooling fan. F/a's reported smoke/haze in the cabin. The a/C packs were turned off and the ground crew reported smoke in the fan area. I elected to deplane the passenger via the main entry door. There were numerous elderly passenger and I noted a bottle neck developing and requested the F/a's deplane some passenger through the aft airstairs. As a precaution fire equipment was called. There were no abnormal indications of any sort in the cockpit.
