Narrative:
Tried to load the tkpk GPS approach. GPS approaches for tkpk (skb) missing from aircraft GPS database. This is an ongoing problem for multiple airports that was brought to flight management attention many months ago. An additional consideration is that when we review and sign the flight release; we check the aircraft equipment designation and then review the expected weather at the destination; the GPS minimums at tkpk are much lower than the NDB-a minimums (the NDB DME 7 is normally not available due to the TACAN DME OTS). Another item for tkpk is that our commercial chart approaches for the airport are split into two areas. There are two approaches and a departure under basseterre; st. Kitts and two approaches under st. Kitts I; st. Kitts - which makes it very confusing for flight crews. The GPS approach database is inconsistent with company commercial approach charts. Get the approaches back into the GPS database on the next data card replacement cycle.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: An air carrier's FMS did not contain St. Kitts GPS approaches and listed both St. Kitts I. and Basseterre separately as St. Kitts' airports. FMS database changes for Caribbean airports randomly include or exclude GPS approaches to other islands but flight crews may be expected to fly GPS approaches that are not in the FMS.
