Narrative:
We were given a runway change on base leg at 3000 ft from ILS runway 4R at kennedy to ILS runway 4L. We experienced a false glideslope capture and followed the glidepath to 2400 ft until we were queried by approach. We then climbed to 3200 ft and re-established ourselves on the localizer and glidepath to runway 4L. Approach and landing were uneventful afterwards.
