Narrative:
Departing ZZZ; the #1 flight attendant called to report extremely high level wind noise at 1-Left door. Crew checked and verified aircraft not pressurizing. We then requested extended vectors for fuel burn down to landing weight and landing back at ZZZ. We ran appropriate checklists; advised operations and landed uneventfully altitude attained was 4000 ft. Aircraft was taken out of service for a broken spring in the 1-Left door assembly.
