Narrative:
Emergency bleed valve opened in flight - bleed valve was reset - precautionary landing was made for further evaluation. Crew did not declare an emergency but center controller declared one because aircraft was cleared direct and controller had to divert several aircraft out of the way of our aircraft. Aircraft landed without incident.

Title: Lear 35 flight crew reports emergency bleed valve opening in flight at FL400. Valve was reset and crew elected to divert for further evaluation; emergency was declared by ATC.
Narrative: Emergency bleed valve opened in flight - bleed valve was reset - precautionary landing was made for further evaluation. Crew did not declare an emergency but Center Controller declared one because aircraft was cleared direct and Controller had to divert several aircraft out of the way of our aircraft. Aircraft landed without incident.
