Narrative:
The cockpit was lit up by a white laser three times between 8000 and 9000 feet about 5-10 miles northeast of archi intersection on the FMS bridge visual rwy 28R approach. The laser appeared to come from the vicinity of fremont; ca. Unfortunately; I was looking directly at the source during one of the three instances. I wasn't blinded; but two hours later my eyes still don't feel right. ATC was notified at the time of the event.
