Narrative:
On approach to runway 25L at lax around taroc intersection. We were 'painted' with a laser. It came from about our 4 o'clock and about 4 miles. This occurred 4 times in about 10 seconds. I reported it to ATC and landed. I then submitted a company alert report before I left the airport. Looking through operation's manual I think I also needed to report it directly to dispatch. I know that the company alert system covers notification requirements for a large number of incidents; but I think we still needed to notify dispatch. I will call then and try to straighten it out and in the future will double check my requirements.
