Narrative:
While working combined sectors at ZJX; I noticed an aircraft had entered another sector that I had intended to hand off without a transfer of radar identification. I called the aircraft to see if I still had communications and as the pilot answered me; I immediately initiated radar hand off to the receiving sector and called the radar controller to inform. The aircraft was approximately 15 miles into sector. There were no conflicts or loss of separation.
