Narrative:
On maintenance flight in a holding pattern with auto pilot engaged at holding speed; airspeed decreased to a point that activated the stick shaker resulting in an auto pilot disconnect which resulted in a loss of 500 ft in altitude. Immediately climbed back to assigned altitude.

Title: Lear 45 on a maintenance test flight slowed to stick shaker speed in a hold on autopilot at FL410. Lost 5-700 feet of altitude in a manually flown recovery when the autopilot disconnected.
Narrative: On maintenance flight in a holding pattern with auto pilot engaged at holding speed; airspeed decreased to a point that activated the stick shaker resulting in an auto pilot disconnect which resulted in a loss of 500 FT in altitude. Immediately climbed back to assigned altitude.
