Narrative:

Upon pushback from gate; I noticed after activating nosewheel steering and beginning taxi; that the tiller handle was installed 180 degrees from normal. Tiller function was normal to steer the aircraft; range of motion was normal; and steering function was not impacted. As I figured this setup was merely a configuration difference between aircraft; I continued flight. Later I was notified that the aircraft had undergone maintenance the night before and the tiller handle was installed improperly.
