Narrative:
We were to ferry the aircraft for work on the radio altimeter. On taxi out the brakes failed. All hydraulic pressures were normal and all hydraulic pump switches and anti-skid switches were in proper position. I stopped the aircraft with the thrust reverser without incident. Once we stopped the brakes began working normally again. After calling maintenance we returned to the maintenance ramp and shut down the engines; then the mechanics hooked up a tug and moved the aircraft to a parking position.
