Narrative:
After takeoff and with gear retracted; crew received a 'right hydraulic qty low' EICAS message. EICAS showed a quantity of 27-28 (amber). Crew ran appropriate QRH checklist procedure; notified ATC and diverted back to the departure airport. When gear was lowered; quantity increased to 56 (green) indication on EICAS. Landed and notified maintenance for appropriate write-up actions.

Narrative: After takeoff and with gear retracted; crew received a 'R HYD QTY LOW' EICAS message. EICAS showed a quantity of 27-28 (Amber).
