Narrative:

On multiple legs on this trip; we have been issued an RNAV departure out of clt. Using runway 18C as the takeoff runway our first fix is girgy. Once on the runway clt tower issues: '.... At the 1.6 DME fix turn right heading 200.' at every instance; we are not set up to do any DME navigation and; furthermore; because clt VORTAC is not referenced in the clearance or the RNAV departure procedure we are now on the runway with a new navigation clearance that is unexpected. On the last departure from clt today the clt VORTAC frequency was not even auto tuned to the flying pilot's navigation radio and extra time was used to tune that radio to comply with the new clearance. I have asked clt and this clearance is for noise abatement.
