Narrative:
For departure from teb: at first we were given the teb 5 SID maintain 2;000 ft runway 24. Upon taxi the runway changed to 19 and we were given the dalton SID 'maintain 2;000 ft.' we climbed through 1;300 ft (the altitude noted on the SID) for 2;000 ft. At about 1;700 ft the controller said; 'maintain 1;300 ft.' we mentioned that we were given 2;000 ft by teb tower; no conflict was noted!
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: HS125 Captain reports exceeding 1;300 FT on the Dalton Departure from Runway 19 at TEB. Reporter was given a clearance to 2;000 FT by the Tower and did not believe the SID restrictions applied.
