Narrative:
Told by center to cross fuzzy intersection at 12;000 ft and 250 KTS and read it back. After leveling off the controller asked us to verify our altitude. I said 12;000 ft; the altitude we read back in our clearance. He then told us to climb to 14;000 ft and asked if we had the terrain in sight. We replied that we did and he then switched us to las vegas approach. Followed the clearance we believed we were given. After ATC gave us the descent clearance I immediately verified it in the altitude window after the first officer set it and verified it on the flight plan page.

Title: A319 flight crew was issued a clearance to cross FUZZY on the FUZZY 7 arrival to LAS at 12000 FT and read back. This is 4000 FT below the expected altitude shown on the arrival. Center noticed the error and sent the flight back up to 14000 FT.
