Narrative:
I was cleared to runway 1L via taxiway right. There is construction on both sides of taxiway M and no signs marking the taxiway. I mistook taxiway M for right and turned on it. Because of the construction there were no runway identification signs, and believing it to be 7R-25L, I xed it. I then reached signs identifying 19L-1R and notified ground control of my position. We asked for and were given takeoff clearance on runway 25L. I rarely fly to mke and this, combined with the visibility, contributed to this mistake.

Title: ACR TAXIED WRONG DIRECTION AND CROSSED ACTIVE RWY IN FOG.
Narrative: I WAS CLRED TO RWY 1L VIA TXWY R. THERE IS CONSTRUCTION ON BOTH SIDES OF TXWY M AND NO SIGNS MARKING THE TXWY. I MISTOOK TXWY M FOR R AND TURNED ON IT. BECAUSE OF THE CONSTRUCTION THERE WERE NO RWY IDENTIFICATION SIGNS, AND BELIEVING IT TO BE 7R-25L, I XED IT. I THEN REACHED SIGNS IDENTIFYING 19L-1R AND NOTIFIED GND CTL OF MY POS. WE ASKED FOR AND WERE GIVEN TKOF CLRNC ON RWY 25L. I RARELY FLY TO MKE AND THIS, COMBINED WITH THE VIS, CONTRIBUTED TO THIS MISTAKE.
