Narrative:
Flight originated with passengers and destination was an island. Approximately half way into the flight at 3500 ft MSL I experienced engine failure that resulted in feathering the left engine and diverting. I landed safely and was able to taxi in to terminal on right engine power.

Title: An Islander's left engine failed in-flight. An emergency was declared with a diversion to a nearby airport.
Narrative: Flight originated with passengers and destination was an island. Approximately half way into the flight at 3500 FT MSL I experienced engine failure that resulted in feathering the left engine and diverting. I landed safely and was able to taxi in to terminal on right engine power.
