Narrative:
After landing; taxiing southbound on B taxiway we noticed an aircraft abeam us traveling southeast bound on J on a collision course with us. ATC instructed us to hold for the traffic as we initiated braking and we determined that we could not safely comply. We responded 'unable' to ATC's request; at which time the traffic was instructed to hold short of taxiway B; which they did. We deviated to the eastern side of taxiway B and continued braking to increase the margin of safety between the two airplanes; passing safely past the nose at approximately 5 knots. Seattle ground control did not sequence taxiing aircraft in a safe manner.
