Narrative:
I found out about event after the fact. I do not have complete details. While performing an engineering order (eo); I missed a step requiring sealing of the screw heads for the TCAS drip tray. I had also not correctly installed a couple of the cherry max rivets for the standoffs. I may also have inadvertently damaged or broken a duct in the process. The system was deferred; as I understand and later repaired in ZZZ. It is not an easy job to accomplish; access to the outboard part of the job is somewhat difficult to work around. I also feel under a large amount of stress with rumors of possible base closings and job losses. I am trying to maintain an effective and valuable shop as well as other issues that are weighing on me. Maybe I just didn't have my head in the game so to speak. The area is not well lit; I also wear glasses and it is a little hard to have a good angle of view. Some of the work area is tight; and the part about putting sealant on the screw heads I just did not see. I know it is there because I looked again after being notified of the event. As far as accessibility of job area; not much that can be done about that as far as I can see.the other issues of stress I am not sure what to do about those at the moment. Slow down; think about what you are doing; try to relax maybe; or if I don't feel up to it; let someone else do it.

Title: A Mechanic reports that concerns about base closings; job losses and personal stress may have contributed to his missing a step in an Engineering Order requiring sealing of the screw heads for the TCAS drip tray; incorrectly installing Cherry Max rivets for Standoffs and possibly damaging an air duct on a CRJ-200.
