Narrative:

I was in command of a widebody transport from sjc-mem assigned FL330, using the company call sign air carrier X aad under the control of kc center on frequency 133.45. The controller issued instructions to aad to turn right 20 degrees for traffic. He did not use a company call sign and another aad responded. I called the center and asked who the turn was for and the controller stated air carrier X aad. I believe the other flight was air carrier Y aad. I am unaware of any conflict with any aircraft. This situation could have been avoided by the controller advising both flts of the aad on the same frequency and using the air carrier X or air carrier Y call with the aad.
