Narrative:
After being cleared for the visual approach runway 28R at sfo were given traffic at 9 o'clock going to the left runway. We advised traffic in sight as did they. They were maintaining visual on us. We were on glideslope and on localizer when I noticed the commuter aircraft appeared to be going underneath us. Checking TCAS it showed him below us as we were descending. I was going to tell tower when the TCAS gave a traffic alert which quickly changed to an RA. At this point we executed an RA go around and informed tower of such. Tower said the other aircraft had us in sight. I informed him that we felt he was below us and with the RA were going around. We completed the go around and landed uneventfully.
