Narrative:
Aircraft came in with a standby pitot heat inoperative and lgcu 2 fault. Standby pitot heat was deferred and number 2 lgcu was replaced and checked ok. On takeoff; the gear was raised and the nose wheel sounded like it would not stop spinning. An ECAM gear uplock not locked came on. We complied with ECAM by lowering the gear and raising it up again. We also received an ECAM for the standby pitot heat. The gear appeared to retract normally. We discussed the situation and decided to lower and raise the gear again. The gear lowered and did not raise. We informed ATC that we were returning. I sent a message to dispatch telling him we were returning because the gear would not come up. The flight attendants were told of the situation and no preparation was ordered. I informed the passengers and we landed without incident and taxied to the gate.
