Narrative:
During a commercial solo flight; I entered the pattern for landing. I was on downwind when tower told me I was number two for landing. I reported traffic in sight and proceeded to turn an early base to avoid a cloud. When on final there were two aircraft stacked on final; me and another small aircraft. The pilot of the other aircraft reported me at an approximate 6 feet spacing. Then tower told me to proceed with a go around. When I returned for landing after the go around; I landed at a faster airspeed and attempted to make the taxiway. I turned toward the taxiway and hit three taxiway lights with the right main gear. Maintenance reported minimal damage. After conducting a review board; it has been determined that I will receive additional ground training to review traffic pattern procedures; traffic avoidance; landing at a proper airspeed and at a faster airspeed. Also; I will have at least two hours in the airplane working the traffic pattern and performing normal and faster landings.
