Narrative:
On takeoff the aircraft started to drift to the right. (Props turn cc wise.) I instructed the pilot to add left rudder to maintain centerline. Suddenly the left brake came on; pulling the aircraft left. I instructed the pilot to release the brake; it did not release and pulled the aircraft off the left side of runway. I shut down both engines before departing the runway. The nose gear dug into the soft dirt and collapsed. Damaged both props and nose.
