Narrative:
Flight attendants did preflight checks. Manifest indicated aft jumpseat was inoperative and was taped up. Customer service assigned passenger seats 24c and 24d for flight attendants working 2L and 2R. Flight attendants informed captain and maintenance that as per our flight attendant manual that this was an nogo item. Maintenance and captain maintained that this was a deferrable item. So flight attendants [were put] under pressure and flew the flight as scheduled.

Title: Flight Attendant questions the maintenance deferral of two Flight Attendant seats to be replaced by the use of passenger seats 24C and 24D.
