Narrative:
We received a fuel config EICAS message after liftoff. After running the fuel config and fuel leak irregular checklist; we decided to divert to the nearest suitable airport per the irregular checklist. This decision was based on the fact that the posiblilty of a fuel leak or a fuel quantity indicator malfunction could not be confidently eliminated.
