Narrative:
After takeoff the left main gear failed to retract. After one recycle the left main gear remained down. Conferred with dispatch and maintenance. Joint decision of all three parties was for a return. During approach remaining gear extended normally. After parking; maintenance advised me of a hydraulic fluid leak in center hydraulic system.

Title: B767 Captain reports left main gear fails to retract after takeoff and after conferring with Maintenance and Dispatch returns to departure airport. Maintenance discovers Center Hydraulic System to be leaking.
