Narrative:
We were issued the CSHEL3 RNAV departure lal transition off runway 6 at rsw. The instructions for the CSHEL3 RNAV departure off runway 6 states 'climb heading 058 or as assigned...expect vectors to cshel; then via depicted route to pulec.' after departure; on climb out; the controller issued us the clearance 'cleared direct cshel.' the cshel fix is not in the FMS if using runway 6. With runway 6 selected; the first fix on the FMS is junlo. We had to go back in and select the cshel departure for runway 24 to get cshel to show up. I also verified that we were using the correctly dated database just to be sure that we weren't using the out-of-date database. We opted to select this method because we have always been told not to 'build' the fixes when using RNAV departures. We proceeded on course without further incident or without any navigation deviation. Suggestions: the FMS database may need to be updated to reflect having cshel as the first fix when operating off runway 6 at rsw.

Title: A CRJ70 Pilot comments that his aircraft's FMS does not have the RSW Runway 6 CSHEL3 RNAV Departure in its database. As a result when cleared direct CSHEL off of Runway 6 the RSW Runway 24 CSHEL3 must be selected in order to get the cleared routing.
