Narrative:
P80 approach could not hand off air carrier X to sector 06 through automation. Used the flight plan entry for air carrier X and found 2 flight plans; one active; one not. Used the /ok feature to grab air carrier X with the cid and it showed 'unknown' as it was overdue by close to 24 hours. Removed strips (rs) and departed air carrier X; different cid ; changed the code and had air carrier X 'ident' to confirm radar contact. The flight plan with the old cid was left over from the previous day. This can cause mis-identification; confusion and possible errors. Absolutely unacceptable from eram (en route automation modernization). Recommendation; stop eram testing on live traffic until all critical's are fixed.
