Narrative:
During visual approach and configuring to land, the right engine overspeeded. During the procedures that were followed the right engine was shut down as a result of our inability to reduce ram and drag. An emergency was declared and no further complications occurred as we proceeded to airport and landed.

Title: MDT HAD ONE PROPELLER OVERSPEED UNCONTROLLABLY DURING APCH.
Narrative: DURING VISUAL APCH AND CONFIGURING TO LAND, THE RIGHT ENGINE OVERSPEEDED. DURING THE PROCEDURES THAT WERE FOLLOWED THE RIGHT ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN AS A RESULT OF OUR INABILITY TO REDUCE RAM AND DRAG. AN EMER WAS DECLARED AND NO FURTHER COMPLICATIONS OCCURRED AS WE PROCEEDED TO ARPT AND LANDED.
