Narrative:
Private airport FA83 (orlando north airpark) is listed in the FAA database and publications as having a 4000 X 50 foot turf runway 36-18. In fact the runway is paved; 2573 X 45 feet; with [an orientation] of 9-27. There is a 2700 foot long taxiway running 36-18 that can easily be confused with the runway. I discovered this error while planning a flight to the orlando north airpark at home. Had I not used satellite mapping (google earth) in my flight planning process; I would have been presented with this issue in the air. It could easily result in conflicting traffic patterns and the possibility of making a low approach or landing on the taxiway.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: Private pilot reports that Orlando North Airpark (FA83) is inaccurately described in publications as being a north/south grass runway when in fact it is a east/west paved runway.
