Narrative:
20 mins prior to arrival at phl, our flight was vectored far off course into a line of thunderstorms. Upon approaching phl, we were informed that the airport was closed due to thunderstorm activity. We were issued a holding clearance over brigs intersection at 8000'. Due to our fuel remaining and extreme discomfort to the crew and passenger, we elected to divert to bwi, our scheduled alternate. ATC informed us that bwi was no longer accepting traffic due to congestion. Company operations subsequently directed us to proceed to bdl. At this time (+/- XA00 local) VHF radios #2 and #3 (communication) were rendered inoperative. Upon relaying this information to ATC, we were issued an extensive clearance involving jet arwys, victor arwys and several intxns. This routing was far from direct. We landed at bdl with +/-3500 pounds of fuel remaining. I hereby would like to submit to you a personal record of my displeasure with ATC. I feel ATC was totally unresponsive to our needs and could have been more supportive.

Title: DESITNATION CLOSED ACCOUNT TSTM IN AREA. FLT CREW DIVERT TO ALTERNATE ACCOUNT LOW FUEL.
Narrative: 20 MINS PRIOR TO ARR AT PHL, OUR FLT WAS VECTORED FAR OFF COURSE INTO A LINE OF TSTMS. UPON APCHING PHL, WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE ARPT WAS CLOSED DUE TO TSTM ACTIVITY. WE WERE ISSUED A HOLDING CLRNC OVER BRIGS INTXN AT 8000'. DUE TO OUR FUEL REMAINING AND EXTREME DISCOMFORT TO THE CREW AND PAX, WE ELECTED TO DIVERT TO BWI, OUR SCHEDULED ALTERNATE. ATC INFORMED US THAT BWI WAS NO LONGER ACCEPTING TFC DUE TO CONGESTION. COMPANY OPS SUBSEQUENTLY DIRECTED US TO PROCEED TO BDL. AT THIS TIME (+/- XA00 LCL) VHF RADIOS #2 AND #3 (COM) WERE RENDERED INOP. UPON RELAYING THIS INFO TO ATC, WE WERE ISSUED AN EXTENSIVE CLRNC INVOLVING JET ARWYS, VICTOR ARWYS AND SEVERAL INTXNS. THIS ROUTING WAS FAR FROM DIRECT. WE LANDED AT BDL WITH +/-3500 LBS OF FUEL REMAINING. I HEREBY WOULD LIKE TO SUBMIT TO YOU A PERSONAL RECORD OF MY DISPLEASURE WITH ATC. I FEEL ATC WAS TOTALLY UNRESPONSIVE TO OUR NEEDS AND COULD HAVE BEEN MORE SUPPORTIVE.
