Narrative:
At 11;000 ft descending on the arrival; heard and observed a vibration in yoke followed immediately by a right oil strainer clogging light. Performed QRH procedure; light stayed on and observed oil temperature rising. Performed engine shut down per QRH; declared emergency and landed.

Title: A MD80 began vibrating while descending on the arrival. Shortly there after the Oil Strainer Clogging light illuminated. After following the QRH; the light remained on so the engine was shutdown; an emergency declared and an uneventful landing followed.
Narrative: At 11;000 FT descending on the arrival; heard and observed a vibration in yoke followed immediately by a Right Oil Strainer Clogging light. Performed QRH procedure; light stayed on and observed oil temperature rising. Performed engine shut down per QRH; declared emergency and landed.
