Narrative:
We were in the descent and had an ECAM message alert 'elect idg lo press num 1'. The message was intermittent and then stayed on. I was the flying pilot and asked the first officer to follow the ECAM message and turn off the number 1 integrated drive generator. We were descending through FL260. At 14;000 ft I started the APU and landed uneventfully. I called the chief pilot and notified maintenance.
