Narrative:

I was informed that a B737-800 aircraft had an improper installation of the right elevator feel pitot probe hose. Prior to installation of the probe and the mounting plate we held the assembly in our hands. The hose was pointed up; which was the way the hose was to be routed. Then the probe and plate were turned up and installed; which caused the hose to be turned down. Better maintenance manual drawing to state that the drawing is shown with the panel installed and is looking outward.
