Narrative:

I am enclosing a copy of a letter I wrote to one of the controling agencies involved. Also enclosed is a copy of the message I received after landing. My intended position should have been 53/30N-20W. As is seen here, radar observed us 57/30N 12/30W. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: long distance with continued error may have created as much as 300 mi course deviation. Shanwick controllers indicated violation would be filed. Has heard nothing to date. Pilot feels his 18000' altitude helped scottish center pick him up quite some distance out and vector back on course. Fortunately he had plenty of fuel.
