Narrative:
A miscomunication (language barrier) between the tower and flight crew resulted in the inaccurate executing of the prescribed departure procedure. Once airborne; tower informed us that we were not on the departure procedure and that we were to clear the surrounding terrain visually. We continued our climb in VMC conditions; cleared all terrain visually; and contacted the center controller. No TA/RA or terrain warnings. Center gave us instructions to further climb and proceed on course. Flight proceeded without any further disruptions.
