Narrative:
An eaa sponsored air show was scheduled for a weekend in 6/88. I spent from XA30 am until XH25 pm in 6/88 viewing vintage light aircraft (on static display and making fly-bys) after having landed at denton airport in my own aircraft at XA25 am. I left my aircraft parked among the many fly-INS after locking, all valuables in the baggage compartment (including the aircraft hand held microphone). When I departed my tie down spot, I inadvertently plugged the hand held microphone into an inoperative jack in the navigation radio panel. I waited in line for takeoff for about 15 mins while other aircraft awaiting takeoff departed between fly-bys and landing aircraft. When I was #1 for takeoff I announced on unicom that I was taking the active runway for departure on the duty runway. At that time there was an aircraft on base leg which appeared to be a vintage light aircraft, giving me the impression that I could safely execute a rolling takeoff and not interfere with the landing traffic. It seems that the aircraft on base was faster than I had anticipated, or was in the process of executing a low pass, since he appeared above me and off my right wing shortly after I lifted off. I had apparently caused him to go around, and the pilot of the aircraft said so on unicom frequency in a very steamed tone of voice. He asked on unicom if anyone had gotten my number. Another voice came up on unicom and gave him a telephone number to call for my number, which leads me to believe the pilot of the aircraft that made the go around intended to turn me in. It wasn't until I called the tower at my home base that I realized my microphone was not working in the jack I had plugged it into and that no one had heard my broadcasts about taking the runway at denton and departure due to my microphone not operating. As I listened to comments on unicom about cutting someone out of the landing pattern (after taking off at denton) I turned out to the southeast and climbed to 3500' before realizing I was still at the far north of the dfw TCA and 3000' was my maximum altitude. I descended to 3000' immediately, realizing I'd let myself get distracted. It was later that I also realized that 6 1/2 hours in the tx sun looking at airplanes at denton airport had left me suffering from a mild case of sunstroke and dehydration, and undoubtedly affected my judgement of distance and interval which resulted in my taking off in front of landing traffic.

Title: GA SMA ENTERED AND TKOF ON RWY AT UNCONTROLLED ARPT CAUSING SMA ON APCH TO GO AROUND. THIS FOLLOWED BY UNAUTH PENETRATION OF TCA.
Narrative: AN EAA SPONSORED AIR SHOW WAS SCHEDULED FOR A WEEKEND IN 6/88. I SPENT FROM XA30 AM UNTIL XH25 PM IN 6/88 VIEWING VINTAGE LIGHT ACFT (ON STATIC DISPLAY AND MAKING FLY-BYS) AFTER HAVING LANDED AT DENTON ARPT IN MY OWN ACFT AT XA25 AM. I LEFT MY ACFT PARKED AMONG THE MANY FLY-INS AFTER LOCKING, ALL VALUABLES IN THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT (INCLUDING THE ACFT HAND HELD MIC). WHEN I DEPARTED MY TIE DOWN SPOT, I INADVERTENTLY PLUGGED THE HAND HELD MIC INTO AN INOP JACK IN THE NAV RADIO PANEL. I WAITED IN LINE FOR TKOF FOR ABOUT 15 MINS WHILE OTHER ACFT AWAITING TKOF DEPARTED BTWN FLY-BYS AND LNDG ACFT. WHEN I WAS #1 FOR TKOF I ANNOUNCED ON UNICOM THAT I WAS TAKING THE ACTIVE RWY FOR DEP ON THE DUTY RWY. AT THAT TIME THERE WAS AN ACFT ON BASE LEG WHICH APPEARED TO BE A VINTAGE LIGHT ACFT, GIVING ME THE IMPRESSION THAT I COULD SAFELY EXECUTE A ROLLING TKOF AND NOT INTERFERE WITH THE LNDG TFC. IT SEEMS THAT THE ACFT ON BASE WAS FASTER THAN I HAD ANTICIPATED, OR WAS IN THE PROCESS OF EXECUTING A LOW PASS, SINCE HE APPEARED ABOVE ME AND OFF MY RIGHT WING SHORTLY AFTER I LIFTED OFF. I HAD APPARENTLY CAUSED HIM TO GO AROUND, AND THE PLT OF THE ACFT SAID SO ON UNICOM FREQ IN A VERY STEAMED TONE OF VOICE. HE ASKED ON UNICOM IF ANYONE HAD GOTTEN MY NUMBER. ANOTHER VOICE CAME UP ON UNICOM AND GAVE HIM A TELEPHONE NUMBER TO CALL FOR MY NUMBER, WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THE PLT OF THE ACFT THAT MADE THE GO AROUND INTENDED TO TURN ME IN. IT WASN'T UNTIL I CALLED THE TWR AT MY HOME BASE THAT I REALIZED MY MIC WAS NOT WORKING IN THE JACK I HAD PLUGGED IT INTO AND THAT NO ONE HAD HEARD MY BROADCASTS ABOUT TAKING THE RWY AT DENTON AND DEP DUE TO MY MIC NOT OPERATING. AS I LISTENED TO COMMENTS ON UNICOM ABOUT CUTTING SOMEONE OUT OF THE LNDG PATTERN (AFTER TAKING OFF AT DENTON) I TURNED OUT TO THE SE AND CLBED TO 3500' BEFORE REALIZING I WAS STILL AT THE FAR N OF THE DFW TCA AND 3000' WAS MY MAX ALT. I DSNDED TO 3000' IMMEDIATELY, REALIZING I'D LET MYSELF GET DISTRACTED. IT WAS LATER THAT I ALSO REALIZED THAT 6 1/2 HRS IN THE TX SUN LOOKING AT AIRPLANES AT DENTON ARPT HAD LEFT ME SUFFERING FROM A MILD CASE OF SUNSTROKE AND DEHYDRATION, AND UNDOUBTEDLY AFFECTED MY JUDGEMENT OF DISTANCE AND INTERVAL WHICH RESULTED IN MY TAKING OFF IN FRONT OF LNDG TFC.
