Narrative:

At bur gate; the ground electric cart is parked to the immediate right of the aircraft nose. In this position the aircraft is filled with exhaust from the electric cart when the forward galley door is opened for catering. The door is opened for at least ten minutes; which is adequate time to cause potentially dangerous levels of carbon monoxide to enter the cabin and cockpit. Considering that [the] prevailing winds are from the right side of the aircraft; this situation is unavoidable with the cart in its present position. This problem was communicated to the crew chief/lead agent.
