Narrative:
Problem: improper taxiway chart/signage with respect to actual closed taxiway. A dvl NOTAM advised taxiway a was closed. Prior to landing noted taxiway a was a feeder to the approach end of a crossing runway and; thus; not applicable to my landing runway on 31. After rollout and exiting the runway; I noticed the taxiway sign a. I stopped the aircraft to reexamine the taxi chart and realized the taxi chart labels the taxiway D whereas signage labels it a. This tidbit of information changed everything. Looking further down the taxiway I saw flashing lights but was unable to execute a turn-off. I was now committed to proceed to the flashing lights with hopes of a turn-off prior. Fortunately; there was a feeder just prior to the closed portion.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: The taxiway labels on the commercial airport page at DVL are allegedly not the same as the signs identifying them at the airport. A NOTAM advising taxiway A as closed; actually referred to the taxiway identified as D by the airport signs.
