Narrative:

Received taxi clearance from north ramp area to runway 36 via B, hold short of runway 9. Crew requested taxi to a run up area prior to departure. Ground control responded, 'roger, taxi to runway 36.' aircraft was then taxied from parking area, southbound on taxiway B. Approaching intersection of runway 9/27 PIC requested verification from sic that aircraft was cleared across runway 9/27 (SOP for crossing any runway) and that no conflicting traffic was present. Sic responded that traffic was on final, no factor. Once aircraft was 15-20' beyond the hold line for runway 9/27, ground responded, 'hold short of runway 9.' aircraft was expedited across the intersecting runway. Conflicting traffic was landing runway 9 as aircraft taxied clear of the runway. Despite the omission of 'hold short of runway 9' during the last ground control transmission prior to taxi, ATC advised crew that 'hold short' instructions are to be followed. No further discussion ensued since the incident.

Narrative: RECEIVED TAXI CLRNC FROM N RAMP AREA TO RWY 36 VIA B, HOLD SHORT OF RWY 9. CREW REQUESTED TAXI TO A RUN UP AREA PRIOR TO DEP. GND CTL RESPONDED, 'ROGER, TAXI TO RWY 36.' ACFT WAS THEN TAXIED FROM PARKING AREA, SBND ON TXWY B. APCHING INTXN OF RWY 9/27 PIC REQUESTED VERIFICATION FROM SIC THAT ACFT WAS CLRED ACROSS RWY 9/27 (SOP FOR XING ANY RWY) AND THAT NO CONFLICTING TFC WAS PRESENT. SIC RESPONDED THAT TFC WAS ON FINAL, NO FACTOR. ONCE ACFT WAS 15-20' BEYOND THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 9/27, GND RESPONDED, 'HOLD SHORT OF RWY 9.' ACFT WAS EXPEDITED ACROSS THE INTERSECTING RWY. CONFLICTING TFC WAS LNDG RWY 9 AS ACFT TAXIED CLR OF THE RWY. DESPITE THE OMISSION OF 'HOLD SHORT OF RWY 9' DURING THE LAST GND CTL XMISSION PRIOR TO TAXI, ATC ADVISED CREW THAT 'HOLD SHORT' INSTRUCTIONS ARE TO BE FOLLOWED.
