Narrative:
Prior to reaching nanci intersection on a nanci 2 arrival to klga, we were cleared up the hudson river for a right turn in to runway 13 at klga. While passing approximately abeam the verrazano bridge heading north, we were bombarded with multi colored laser beams apparently coming from atop the pan am bldg. This continued until we were about abeam the pan am bldg. At that time we thought we were out of the area that the laser beams were being aimed. After turning final north of central park for runway 13, the laser beams again struck our aircraft and continued to do so until we were out of their line of sight. It appeared someone was aiming the laser beams at the aircraft since we were beamed both south and north of the pan am bldg. It appears good sense operation of laser beams is out of hand. The damage to one's eyes, not to mention loss of night vision, can contribute to an accident.
