Narrative:

At 14000 approaching hdf (homeland) VOR, lax center switched us to ontario approach control for handling into lgb. Unable to contact ontario approach. Switched back to lax center and advised to return to ontario approach on same frequency. Again no contact. Returned to previous lax center. Advised immediate turn to 170 degree then 250 degree and immediate descent to 10000. Spotted company flight same altitude distance approximately 1/2 to 1 mi. Company traffic made left 360 degree turn. Both flts had conflicting call signs (same company, same numbers, inversed). I believe this added to ATC conflict problem.
