Narrative:
Medium large transport X was cleared to takeoff from runway 16L at intersection A1 at sea. As we were turning on to the runway widebody transport Y was landing on runway 16R. As we started to spool the engines for takeoff tower cleared widebody transport Y to cross runway 16L at the departure end. We held our position and questioned tower. Tower sounded flustered, told us to hold our position and cleared us for takeoff after widebody transport Y had cleared.

Narrative: MLG X WAS CLRED TO TKOF FROM RWY 16L AT INTERSECTION A1 AT SEA. AS WE WERE TURNING ON TO THE RWY WDB Y WAS LNDG ON RWY 16R. AS WE STARTED TO SPOOL THE ENGS FOR TKOF TWR CLRED WDB Y TO CROSS RWY 16L AT THE DEP END. WE HELD OUR POS AND QUESTIONED TWR. TWR SOUNDED FLUSTERED, TOLD US TO HOLD OUR POS AND CLRED US FOR TKOF AFTER WDB Y HAD CLRED.
