Narrative:
[We] departed with incomplete/inaccurate flight plan performance for landing airport. Planned landing runway was closed by NOTAM 'mke runway 1L/19R closed except runway 1L available for takeoff.' flight was dispatched to land runway 19R. Only available destination runway at departure time was runway 25L. Captain cursory review of NOTAM's prior to departure noted 1L was available for 'takeoff' and so rationalized the pavement was intact and clear therefore legal. Upon receiving arrival ATIS (while en route) the NOTAM read 'closed'. Captain believes therefore that the flight was not strictly in compliance with far's at time of departure. Captain; first officer and dispatch failed to notice this prior to departure. Runway closure NOTAM was not clarified prior to departure. NOTAM was not clear or consistent with ATIS advisory. Captain has encountered and corrected this problem in the past and should have had heightened alertness for it. Additional threats included late aircraft; maintenance write up/action and last minute weather change required an alternate be added as well as a change to the fuel plan. Coordination with dispatch saved time but distracted captain from a final paperwork review before push. NOTAM's are ambiguous and often irrelevant fostering complacency. Clear and concise NOTAM's would be incredibly helpful. Many times they are irrelevant or duplicated multiple times thereby being cumbersome to discern what effect they have on the flight. Captain and first officer must maintain heightened awareness and remain diligent not taking anything for granted regarding the dispatch paperwork. Dispatch must do likewise. Dispatch is relatively 'new' and may also be complacent because of the nature of our notams.
