Narrative:
The d-side tried to drop air carrier X off of our scope when he departed our sector and was unable to do so. I then tried to pvd him off; but still had a vector line. It was at this point when I realized the aircraft was 10 miles inside the next sector without a hand off. I had been on position for some time at this point and was extremely tired after working several rushes. I started flashing the aircraft immediately and sector 9 took the hand off and I switched the aircraft. The data block should have auto flashed and did not; perhaps looking into the software and find out why. Too long to be at sector with heavy traffic; awareness was not at peak.
