Narrative:
During climb out; first officers' pfd; nd; and some cockpit lights began flickering while several ECAM's cycled on then off. ECAM's stayed on after first officers' pfd; nd; and some cockpit lights failed. ECAM's included automatic flight a/thr off and elec gen 2 fault; to name only a few. ECAM's were accomplished and APU was started. Descent to lower altitude and uneventful landing at destination coordinated with ATC.

Title: A320 flight crew experiences Generator 2 failure in flight and attempts to restore operation are ultimately unsuccessful. Generator 1 is unable to power AC Bus 2 which remains unpowered until the APU is started. Flight continues to destination.
Narrative: During climb out; First Officers' PFD; ND; and some cockpit lights began flickering while several ECAM's cycled on then off. ECAM's stayed on after First Officers' PFD; ND; and some cockpit lights failed. ECAM's included AUTO FLT A/THR OFF and ELEC GEN 2 FAULT; to name only a few.
