Narrative:
To perform service check on forklift; put hetra lifts under unit to lift it; while raising unit [forklift] up; at about five feet; heard a noise; saw unit falling off lifts; tried to get out of way but lift knocked me over. Damage to my left leg initially; got up this morning with lower back pains. Hetra's are known to malfunction at times.

Title: A Mechanic reported a forklift fell off of a set of Hetra-lift vertical supports as the forklift was being raised approximately five feet above the floor. The Hetra-lifts are used to raise forklifts or other equipment vehicles for mechanics to perform service checks from underneath the equipment.
